Get paid for the video footage you’ll never publish.

Your-Cut exists to help video and content owners monetize their footage, both published and unpublished.

Thanks to our licensing partners, we’re turning otherwise ‘unusable’ extra footage into training data - and directly paying the content owners. That’s you.

Your video has value.

The videos you upload are never republished or re-broadcast in any way. There are virtually no limits to what you can submit.

Ideal Content:

The more dynamic action with people in frame, the better. Security camera video hours, for example, are not worth very much.

FAQs & Details

  • Everything you OWN. We’re looking for all types of video content with a resolution of 1080p and up. Shot vertically or horizontally, any length. Published and unreleased content (b-roll, raw, etc) is acceptable, with or without audio.

If your content includes logos or copyrighted material that you don’t own, no problem – we can automatically exclude those frames for you. Any content genre works, but high quality footage will have a better chance of selling.

  • To improve the quality of AI products, companies need a tremendous amount of real-world content for their software to learn from. They compile content into a ‘data model’ which is used to train AI software. This helps improve the capabilities of what AI products can create.

Your content is anonymized and never used beyond training purposes. AI companies aren’t looking to reproduce your content, name, image or likeness. In fact, they are contractually obligated not to and would be legally liable if they did.

Your data is secured in a SOC2 compliant data warehouse, and we only transfer data to clients who are also SOC2 compliant. These companies have strict agreements on content usage, and any unused data is legally destroyed.

All audio is removed prior to being licensed to the AI company.

  • No. Your content is anonymized and never used beyond training purposes. AI companies aren’t looking to reproduce your content, name, image or likeness. In fact, they are contractually obligated not to.

Their main interests are being able to understand how people move through video and interact with their environments. Think of it like the “movement” of the people in your videos being tracked, like the wire-frame of a motion-capture model. The “identity”/face isn’t important.

  • After your footage is ingested successfully, our licensing partner takes your content to market.

If your content is accepted into a deal, you will be able to see how many hours of yours were accepted, and which client is purchasing it.

Payments are made once they are received from the AI client, usually within a number of weeks.
